ZSU Remote Pilot Operator

Full-time, on-site position supporting FAA air traffic controller training at the San Juan CERAP in Carolina, Puerto Rico. The Remote Pilot Operator works inside an air traffic control training simulator, operating simulated radar displays and voice communication systems. The employee receives commands from students, enters the corresponding actions into the automated system, uses appropriate air traffic control terminology and responds through the voice communication system. This is not a drone, UAV, RPV or aircraft pilot position. The selected candidate must complete classroom and simulation-lab certifications after hiring.
